Holland Park II

Described by the Evening Standard as “a garden of cool green repose”, the brief for this contemporary garden was to form a visual extension of the interior space, while creating a generous area in which to relax, entertain or to hold business meetings. The use of the terrace is extended during wet weather with the unfurling of a very large bespoke sail awning.

The clean and detailed lines of the design are juxtaposed with mature multi-stem Amelanchier Lamarkii (Juneberry); these elegant trees provide year-round interest from pale green buds in Spring, followed by white flowers, berries in Autumn and their stunning stems in Winter. They are all lit at night to add a little drama to the geometric and symmetrical design.
